About Justice Court
Town and Village Justices are elected to four year terms. They are “on-call” available to conduct arraignments on a 24 hour basis and 7 days a week basis.
Town and Village Courts are local courts with original jurisdiction over all criminal and traffic matters arising within their borders. They have jurisdiction over civil matters up to $3,000.00. Judges perform civil marriage ceremonies.
